Select an image, hit the presets tab, and try them out. In Browse mode there two tabs at the top: Browse and Presets. If you do not see the left-most column, click the small icon in the far lower left corner to reveal it. The presets are located in ON1's left-most column. Regarding presets, ON1 comes with several groups of presets which you can try. Rather, I simply use ON1 to browse my existing Pictures folder where I store my photos in subfolders organized by date (yyyy-mm-dd) format. I do not specifically "import" files into ON1 nor do I create any new "albums" in ON1. If you save your images as RAW+JPEG, and under Preferences have told ON1 to treat RAW+JPEG pairs as a single image, then deleting an image will delete both the raw file and the jpeg version. If you have worked on an image in Edit mode, deleting an image will also delete the associated *.on1 and *.onphoto files. When deleting images, ON1 warns that all associated versions will be deleted. I have not experienced ON1 deleting any images which I had not selected for deletion. When I confirm the deletion, all photos in the album are deleted, and I must hit Command-Z to reverse the deletion. When I select photos and hit the "delete" key, I get a warning that all "related" photos will also be deleted.

I hit Command-Z quickly without checking to see whether the undeleted photos remained. I just got worried when I saw so many photos disappearing from the screen at one time. In fact, it may have been working all along. I still get the caution about deleting related photos, but it seems to be working. you get the same language when deleting any ph. Since I don't Cull my photos in the same fashion as you, I've included a short tutorial from Anthony Morganti that uses a similar style. So far, so good, but I select individually or complete sets of files to delete, none with the grading applied too. I need to look into this as I don't want to delete any Good files. In my other softwares it normally applies to other copies of the same file. You're selecting ones that have been applied a grade, one star, two stars, an X in your case. I believe an associated version has to do with the manner they are chosen. I'm guessing all of the photos you want deleted are highlighted? You need to change this symbol to I believe equal too, then you should be set. If you click on the symbol you can change this to Equal too or Less than equal too. In default mode this is set to greater than equal too. In the same column you will notice a Math Symbol, the old, greater than equal to sign.

Yes you get the same language when deleting any photo.

Here is the language my computer flashes on the screen when I press delete: Are you sure you want to move 280 item(s) to the Trash? Any associated versions will be moved as well. I end up deleting everything and having to hit Command-z to retrieve all of the photos. To delete files, I go to Filters in the left column and select every rejected photo marked with an "x." I then select all which have an "x" and press delete. I use the same naming system, with the numbers starting at "1" rather than "001." The wording in the file names is the same and the numbers are different. If not this would explain your problem, as each picture is named the same and not separated with the assigned number.I haven't experienced this problem yet and delete. Look at the bottom of your photos and see if they have different numbers.

I start with 001 so as each picture is imported into ON1 it will have a sequential number plus the same file name assigned to that specific photo. When I IMPORT Any photos into ON1 I assign a file name, then I go right below where I placed the file name and I apply a Number to the file. My only thought on the matter is if the File names are the same. I haven't experienced this problem yet and delete hundreds of photos from the albums.
